Continue readingLeeds Young Film Festival is the UK’s largest film event of its kind, where the whole family can watch, learn and play. Join us and over 12,000 other children and their families this Easter, 26 March - 5 April to explore the world of film, animation and virtual reality through screenings, exhibitions and workshops across the City with our programme zones. Make your screen time shared time with family favourites and brand new films at Reel Kids; learn and play with Aardman, Minecraft, Cartoon Network and more at Animation Central, and visit the UK’s first family-focused virtual reality event to get your hands on some of the lastest VR experiences and even create your own at the FREE VR Zone.
Leeds Young Film Festival is presented by Leeds City Council with the support of the BFI Film Festival Fund, awarding funds from The National Lottery, and by public funding from Arts Council England.

The world's first films were made in Leeds in 1888 by Louis le Prince and today the city is a leading centre for film culture.
