In collaboration with University of Leeds and Oxygen Films, Changing the Story is an experimental creative micro-project where young filmmakers across Leeds will work together to conceive, shoot, edit, produce and distribute a socially-engaged film in a day. Working with internationally acclaimed Indian activist-filmmaker Dakxin Chhara Bajrange and South Africa-based community filmmaker Daniela Westogrek, this is an opportunity to learn from filmmakers working in diverse contexts and say something urgent about the community you live in and make a collective call for change. The final film will be premiered on Wednesday 15 November as part of LIFF.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday 25 October. You can apply as part of a team/existing production company, or as an individual. Applicants must be aged between 18 and 25.
