Animals used to be at the centre of our existence. Now they are marginalised and reduced to spectacle. This visually mesmerising programme rectifies this oversight as the animal world takes centre stage: a shameless cow interrupts meal-time in a Russian kitchen, a teenage girl grapples with ants under the watchful eye of a eucalyptus forest in the Brazilian wilderness, and the worlds of folk tradition and magical realism converge in the Andes mountains as an elderly woman is confronted with the ghost of her patrón and the sudden death of a great number of her cows.
