We are delighted to welcome the producer Ulrike Kubatta to the screening for a Q&A following the film.

A ‘pop-u-mentary’ following award-winning performance artist Bryony Kimmings and her niece Taylor as they try to combat the hyper-sexualised and commercialised world of pop. For Taylor, the ideal superstar has to be a pop-singing palaeontologist, a little shy, a little nerdy but always brave enough to make her voice heard. Lucky for the nine-year-old, her performance artist aunt turns herself into just this superstar and with professional help they go on a journey to make their alternative popstar world famous. But the impact it has closer to home is perhaps most powerful of all.

These FREE school screenings are in partnership with Into Film, a film education charity that puts film at the heart of the educational and personal development of children and young people aged 5-19 across the UK.
